Jeff Nippard - Science Lifters Are Under Attack!
🤔 EP063 - Is a science-based approach to lifting all it’s cut out to be or is it just the latest fad, and is there an alternative approach that might be better for getting the results that you really want?
As a Trainer, am I guiltier than 99% of the population when it comes to switching between real-science, bro-science, and no-science with myself and my clients. Why? Because at the end of the day, we’re all right and we’re all wrong at the same time. The only truth there is is that there is no one thing that works for everyone all the time.
Actually…that’s a lie. There is one thing that works for everyone all the time - finding what works for you.
In his book Essentialism - The Disciplined Pursuit of Less, Greg McKeown writes the following:
”The best journalists do not simply relay information. Their value is in discovering what really matters to people. Being a journalist of your own life will force you to stop hyper focussing on all the minor details and see the bigger picture.”
Achieving bigger goals means we must first focus on the bigger picture, which means taking a VALUE-BASED, not a science-based approach to health and fitness.
